New Creations Inn, a program of Loaves and Fishes Ministries of Fremont County has on-going gospel-centered, social justice internships. Interns will live incarnationally on-site in a holistic recovery community while venturing out for missional experiences in diverse settings.

Work in the areas of recovery, mental health, discipleship, relationships, homelessness and so much more. Recreational ministry opportunities included – camping, hiking, biking and more in the beautiful mountains around us.  Includes housing, some meals, and small stipend.

Three internship tracks are available:

Peer Support Track – for individuals with at least one year of recovery and emerging leadership skills.  Focus will be on peer mentoring relationships, running social activities and groups, training, understanding what the Gospel has say about recovery, serving the hurting and experimenting with leadership responsibilities in a safe, structured supportive environment.

Direct Care Worker Track – For individuals with some education, work or ministry experience in any social justice field ex. mental health, recovery, poverty, business as ministry ect.  Directed focus on case management and care duties such as assessing, planning and  group/class development, conflict management. Training in motivational interviewing and providing trauma informed care. Understanding of how the gospel transforms the way you care and serve others.  Ownership of one service area, event or project while here.

Program Development Track – For individuals with several years work or ministry experience that are interested in developing or administrating a  gospel-centered, social justice program. Focus will be on understanding the NCI model and core values  while experiencing first hand the ‘whys’ behind the ‘whats’. There will be an emphasis on servant leadership and opportunities for diverse experiences while we walk with you through the process of crafting a customized plan for the context you will be returning to.   (This track does not include a stipend)

Within each track there will be assigned readings and study as well as the the option for further concentration while still experiencing a wide range of ministry opportunities presented within our agency. Loaves and Fishes Ministries serves Fremont County through numerous programs including: two transitional housing programs, a food bank and clothing warehouse and an emergency shelter.

Within these program areas ministry experience could include:

  • construction and trades work
  • outdoor leadership / recreational ministry

  • fundraising / marketing
  • social enterprise

Regardless of your track or concentration, your mission here will be to build relationships while learning how to do so in a Gospel-centered, trauma informed, healthy way.

The internship will be structured with a 3 month – 1 year commitment. The intern will be immersed in our gospel driven-core values which we believe compels and empowers us to live out social justice in a very unique counter-cultural way. Interns will be mentored by experienced practitioners.

Internship is open to married couples and singles. Housing, some meals, shared company vehicles and modest stipend provided. Interns may raise support, be self-supporting or choose to live modestly.
